Breadbox Internet Technology Becomes GEOS Standard
Hudson, FL, December 15, 1998
Breadbox Computer Company's Web Magick 2.0 browser and IRC Chat client have become the internet industry standards for the GEOS 3.0 operating system from Geoworks Corporation in Alameda, California.
Breadbox has licensed its internet technology to New Deal, Inc. of Cambridge, Massachusetts for use with New Deal software suites and Brother International Corporation, Somerset, New Jersey for use with its GeoBook personal digital notebook computer.
"The Web Magick 2.0 browser and IRC client have been licensed under the undisclosed terms of agreements to New Deal, Inc. and Brother International Corporation. New Deal has also licensed the Breadbox HTML Editor and is offering all three products in the New Deal Internet Kit," Frank Fischer, CEO of privately held Breadbox noted.
"We have completely revamped our Web Magick internet technology to provide the New Deal and GeoBook users with a much more enhanced internet experience than ever before in the GEOS environment. We are very pleased that New Deal and Brother have selected our internet technology products as their default internet software offerings," stated Fischer. "Having these companies build their internet offerings on the foundation of our technology demonstrates clearly the success of our efforts in enhancing the GEOS operating system."
Individual and multi-user licenses for the Breadbox IRC Chat client are also available for the Nokia Communicator Communicator series of smart phones directly from Breadbox. The Nokia Communicator also uses the GEOS 3.0 operating system.
