Breadbox Releases IRC Chat Client for Nokia Communicators
Hudson, FL, October 30, 1998
Breadbox Computer Company has announced the release of its new NChat IRC client for the Nokia Communicator Communicator series of smart phones. The Nokia devices are a combination PCS GSM digital cell phone and personal digital assistant (PDA) that run on the GEOS 3.0 operating system. "The completion of the Breadbox NChat IRC client technology compliments the Nokia Communicator's fax, web browser, email and SMS messaging capabilities and adds a powerful new business tool to an already super product" stated Frank Fischer, Breadbox CEO and President.
Breadbox NChat (under 23k without help file) enables users to have private, non-audible, documented conversations with one or several business associates, anywhere they can use their phone. In addition to including several standard IRC commands, NChat also provides a logging feature that documents any online meeting into a text file which can then be immediately distributed via email or fax directly from the Nokia Communicator. Users can be assured of complete privacy anywhere they use their Communicator, without ever speaking a word.
Fischer noted "We've tested NChat compatibility with most other IRC desktop clients including Windows, OS/2, GEOS and DOS programs. Meet with other NChat users, desktop IRC users, or both."
Single, multi and corporate licenses are available exclusively from Breadbox.
