Fischer, CEO of Breadbox stated: "We have been working on developing an ultra-portable, low-power consuming, low cost, one-to-one educational learning device that utilizes our unique software for several years. In addition to offering our flagship suite of productivity and PIM software included in Breadbox Ensemble, we have slowly been building a large base of educational software that we plan on offering as well. All of our educational software provides for easy content creation by both teachers and students. We believe once our product begins to saturate the market, more and more content will be created and shared in a community of Breadbox educational software users worldwide.

We've successfully tested our software on several of the new "netbooks" recently introduced into the market by various manufacturers, however, our goal is to develop a significantly lower cost device, competing even with the OLPC devices, yet much more robust and useful for education."

Fischer continued that Breadbox has been in talks with several hardware manufacturers and he is confident Breadbox is getting closer to achieving its goal. "We believe our product will blow the doors off of anything that's out there today in terms of usability, value and total cost of ownership. We're working on localizations of German, French, Spanish and Portuguese versions and more will come later. Our software development tools (SDK) are freely available for download from our web site and we encourage developers to develop more high quality, professional educational applications." stated Fischer.
