Breadbox Computer Company Announces Completion of New Deal 3.0 Support

Hudson, FL, January 15, 1998

Breadbox Computer Company has announced that today it has completed the on-time delivery of system core and application products for the New Deal Office and New Deal School Suite desktop software suites announced by New Deal Incorporated of Cambridge, Massachussets.

A privately held contract and R&D developer, Breadbox had contracted with New Deal in 1997 for the adaptation of various Breadbox technologies to the New Deal suites which are based on the GEOS operating system developed by Geoworks Corporation in Alameda, California.

In addition to applications such as for personal financial management (Banker), web design (WebBox HTML Editor) and compact disk audio (CD Player), New Deal has licensed for the integration into its own variant of the GEOS 3.0 OS core technology such as sound, video and macro. Some core technology has been licensed to New Deal under a wide- ranging license agreement, limited only for use with the New Deal suites. New Deal is expected soon to sign up for the Breadbox 3.0 internet technology and applications, having already licensed for its 2.x suites the Breadbox Web Magick browser and Launch Pad products.
