Breadbox Assists Brother International in Educational Market Push

Breadbox Computer Company will produce several educational products for the Brother GeoBook and BrotherWorks desktop software suite, both utilizing the GEOS 3.0 operating system from Geoworks Corporation in Alameda, California.
Breadbox CEO and President Frank Fischer stated "We continue to support Brother International Corporation's efforts to infiltrate the vast educational market with their low-cost GeoBook (PDN) Personal Digital Notebook computers and BrotherWorks desktop software. We have designed a Typing Tutor and other educational programs specifically for the Brother GeoBook product line to provide the educational market with an alternative solution to other high-cost hardware and software products."
In addition to the Typing Tutor program to teach students computer keyboarding skills, Breadbox educational products will include a keyboarding game called Laser Letters to compliment Typing Tutor; a Flash Card program; ThinkerPro quiz program; Kids' Numbers drill program; Word Search Maker puzzle making program; Word Matcher puzzle solver; a sophisticated Teacher's Aide grading program for teachers; an IRC Chat program called Teachers' Lounge which will be hard-wired to the Breadbox IRC server for teachers and administrators to meet online; and a host of E-books (electronic books) readable with the GEOS BookReader application available on the GeoBooks and BrotherWorks desktop software suite.
Brother will be demoing the Breadbox educational products at trade shows nationwide.
